Tribute to My Beloved Brother

Da boy, I still cannot bring myself to accept that you are gone. Why did you leave us this way? I wish I had known that faithful Thursday, when we spoke, that it would be our last conversation. If I had known, I would have held on to every word, every moment, and every second of that conversation.

I am still in shock, to the point where words cannot truly express the pain I feel. My heart is broken, and I keep asking myself, who is going to call me “Da girl” again? Who is going to give me that gentle “thank you” every time we speak on the phone? These little things may have seemed ordinary, but they meant so much to me, and I would give anything to hear them from you one more time.

Da boy, you have truly disappointed OJ and me. We never imagined that we would have to say goodbye to you so soon. Your absence has left a void in our hearts that no words can fill.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for all the love, kindness, and protection you showed OJ and me throughout your life. I will never forget the days when we were little, when you would always protect us, stand up for us, and fight our battles as though they were your own. You were not just our brother; you were our protector, our strength, and someone we could always count on.

You had such a beautiful heart. Your kindness was not limited to your family you showed love and compassion to everyone around you. Anyone who had the privilege of knowing you will remember the goodness you carried within you.

Although our hearts are heavy with grief, I pray that the good you did while you were here will continue to speak for you. May you rest peacefully in the arms of the Lord, and may God continue to have mercy on your soul.

Da boy, you will forever remain in our hearts. We will miss your voice, your kindness, your laughter, and most of all, the love you gave so freely.

Rest well, my beloved brother. Until we meet again, may you continue your good work in Heaven. May God grant you eternal rest and perpetual light. Amen.

Memories I will always remember

To my wonderful Uncle Solo,
There are no words to fully express how much you mean to me, but I want to take this moment to honor the incredible person you are. You have always been a constant source of joy, laughter, and wisdom in my life.
Thank you for being so deeply kind and for always knowing exactly how to put a smile on my face. Your sense of humor can brighten up any room, and some of my favorite memories are simply laughing along with you. But beyond the jokes, you have always been the person I could turn to for the best guidance.
I will never forget the time you sat me down and gave me that invaluable piece of advice. You told me to always try hard because laziness leads to failure. Those words stuck with me, and they continue to push me to do my best every single day. You didn't just say those words—you lived them, showing me what true dedication looks like.
I am going to miss you more than words can say. Your warmth, your jokes, and your steady presence leave a space that no one else could ever fill. Please know that you are always in my thoughts, and you will forever be in my prayers.
With all my love,
Annabel Enow

I believe you choose the way of peace and let death open you the door to eternal peace. May your baptism candle shine and open you the way back to Jesus Christ your creator. Forever remembered, forever cherished and forever missed.

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we bid farewell to our Beloved Childhood/family friend who was more like a brother to us. Your departure has left a void in our hearts that words alone cannot express.

We shared beautiful memories of childhood, moments of laughter and togetherness that will forever remain a part of our lives. You were someone whose presence brought warmth and happiness to those around you.

Though death has taken you away from us, it can never erase the beautiful memories we shared or the special place you occupy in our hearts. We will always cherish the years of friendship, the experience we shared, and the bond that time should never break.

To your family, we extend our deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy. We pray that God will comfort you in this difficult time, strengthen you in your moments of grief, and grant you the fortitude to bear this painful loss.

As we say goodbye, we take comfort in knowing that the love and memories you left behind will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who know you.

Rest peacefully our Dear friend. Though you are gone from our sight, you will never be forgotten. Your memory will forever remain a treasured part of ours.

Gone but never forgotten

It is heartbreaking to accept that a friend who was once part of my childhood memories is gone. We shared a part of life that can never be recreated, and though the years may have passed, those memories will always remain precious to me.

Life has taught us that nothing lasts forever, but I never imagined that I would have to say goodbye to you this way. Your departure is painful, and it reminds me of how fragile life truly is.

Though you are no longer with us, the memories of our childhood and the friendship we shared will always have a place in my heart. You may be gone from our sight, but you will never be forgotten.

Rest peacefully my Dear friend. May God grant your soul eternal rest and comfort all those you have left behind.

ABANG LAKSMI EWAHis niece

A TRIBUTE TO MY UNCLE🕊️❤️

They say everyone fears something; the dark, failure, being alone. But for me, fear has always had only one face: losing someone I love and today, I am facing that fear again.
For seven years, I knew an amazing soul. You were more than my uncle; you were my comfort, my encourager, my cheerleader, and one of the first people I would share both my joy and my pain with.
You never once judged me. You were always ready to listen, no matter what I had to say. You stayed with me through school until I graduated, celebrated every milestone with me, and always made me feel that my achievements were worth celebrating.
You would always ask me, “Abang, what are your plans?” You genuinely cared about my future and always wanted to see me become the best version of myself. But you also reminded me to enjoy my youth, go out, have fun, and live in the moment. You wanted me to work hard, but you also wanted me to actually live.
You always wanted to see me happy. You checked on me, encouraged me, and somehow always managed to put a smile on my face. We could talk for hours, sometimes all night while I was at work. My clients and colleagues would always wonder, “Why are you always talking to this person?”because whenever I was talking to you, I was smiling.
When I lost my dad in 2023, you were there for me. You helped me through one of the hardest seasons of my life, and you never stopped checking on me.
We spoke just a few days before you left us. I never knew that conversation would be one of our last. I would give anything for one more conversation, one more laugh, one more smile.
And then there was our little joke you always called yourself my “potential boyfriend,” and I always called you that too. 😂❤️ Today, that joke is one of the memories I will hold closest to my heart.
Thank you for every conversation, every check-up, every laugh, and every word of encouragement. Thank you for always rooting for my happiness.
You will forever remain a beautiful piece of my heart.

Rest peacefully, Uncle. 🕊️❤️
Until we meet again

In Loving Memory of My Beloved Uncle Solo

In Loving Memory of My Beloved Uncle Solo

Dear Uncle Solo,

It is still so hard to believe that you have left us so soon. There are moments when I still expect to hear your voice, receive your call, or see you walk through the door with that familiar presence that meant so much to all of us. The call I received that early morning, telling me that you had passed away, was the most devastating call I have ever received in my life.

Uncle, you taught us so much—not only through your words, but through the way you lived your life. You always wanted to see us do well and become great in life. You opened our eyes to opportunities, encouraged us to dream bigger, and showed us that there was so much more possible for us in this life.

You had a way of making us believe that we could do more, be more, and accomplish more. Those lessons will stay with us for the rest of our lives.

Your home was always a place where we felt welcomed and loved. You never made us feel like visitors. You made family feel like family. That is something I will always carry with me. You gave me so much great advice about how to make a house a home.

I will always remember how much you loved my little family.

I truly loved watching the relationship you had with my wife, Ri. You didn’t just love her because she was my wife—you loved her as your own. You would always call her, check on her, joke with her, and make sure she was doing okay.

And those jokes you made will stay with us forever.

You would tell her, “Hey, I will sue you for abandoning me!”

And then you’d joke about how she was out there enjoying herself without you. Those little conversations may have seemed like jokes at the time, but looking back now, they were expressions of love. That was your way of letting her know that you cared about her and that you wanted to hear from her.

Ri will always remember that.

Every conversation we had, you would tell us how much you loved us and how much you missed us.

And Uncle, I also know how happy you were watching Harmony grow. You were always excited to hear about how she was doing, how fast she was growing, and how she was progressing in school. You took pride in watching her develop and become her own little person.

And I know that the love and excitement you had for Harmony, Harley, and Haizley will always be a part of the memories we keep of you.

What makes this loss even more painful is knowing how much you loved all of us and how much more life we thought we had to share together.

And then there is my wedding.

We were looking forward to celebrating together—laughing, dancing, and partying like crazy with you. I could already imagine you there, enjoying yourself, making memories with all of us, and making all my in-laws feel welcomed and comfortable.

I was looking forward to seeing you celebrate with me and Ri.

I was looking forward to having you there as we started this new chapter of our lives.

It hurts knowing you won’t physically be there to celebrate with us.

But I also know something.

Your love will be there.

Your memory will be there.

And everything you poured into us will be there.

You will be remembered in every story we tell, every laugh we share, and every time we come together as a family.

When I look at my family, I’ll remember how much you wanted all of us to succeed.

You left us far too soon, Uncle Solo, but the impact you made on our lives will never leave us.

Thank you for loving us.

Thank you for believing in us.

Thank you for opening our eyes to possibilities.

Thank you for welcoming us into your home.

Thank you for loving Ri and our girls.

And thank you for all the laughter and memories.

I wish we had more time.

I wish there were more phone calls.

More jokes.

More family gatherings.

More conversations.

More memories.

But I am grateful for the memories we do have.

Those memories are something death cannot take away from us.

So, Uncle Solo, although our hearts are broken, we will continue to carry your love with us.

We will continue to talk about you.

We will continue to laugh about the things you used to say.

When my wedding day comes, I know there will be a moment when I wish I could look across the room and see you there.

But I’ll know that a part of you is still with us.

And maybe, somewhere in that celebration, we’ll hear one of your jokes in our heads:

“I will sue you for abandoning me!”

And we’ll laugh.

Because that’s what you gave us too—the ability to laugh, even when life wasn’t easy.

Uncle Solo, you were deeply loved.

You are deeply missed.

And you will never be forgotten.

Rest peacefully, Uncle.

Thank you for being part of our lives.

Thank you for loving our family.

And thank you for leaving us with memories that we will carry for the rest of our lives.

Until we meet again, Uncle Solo.

We love you.

Your nephew Yamac.

Your Light of Faith Lives On

Muna, is a person we lived through out our childhood and boyhood era, both of us grew up in Lobe Estate '' pamol" . I was so closed to muna that we can't stay a day without seeing each other.. after our primary school, myna went to SASSE college and I went to GHS mundemba. Immediately we are on holidays, I will go home without spending a day in mundemba, only to see my guy and to listen to all the stories he will be telling me from their school.
There was a period I told him, I was going to bring problem to my parents, if they don't send me to SASSE. My guy started laughing and he told me that I should persevere, that after my Ordinary Levels, I will go to SASSE college in high school. There was a time he came for holidays, and I saw their school jersey on him and I asked him why is he with it, he smiled as usual then he told me " I'm a player in my school team " then I asked him in form two?? ,Does it mean they don't have big boys in school?? He answered they do ,so I applauded him to be a tough guy!!!!!! He replied why did I say so, I said playing in a school where they have high school team is not an easy task..
This very guy will tell me, come and let me teach you the latest dancing steps, and we practice together then take the styles to my school, that made my peers to look at me as a show guy.
Same guy was man of the people, parents had loved for him alot , he doesn't discriminate, and always jovial with every one, very respectful to everyone, there are times when he will call me and ask about friends in primary school that he heard are not doing too well so that he can assist them ..
He is a guy who will carry people problem as his own ..

Very charming young man, black and elegant guy, you cannot talk about legends in our generation in pamolites with out mentioning his name,,, he was such a GOOD Guy...

I pray for the family he left behind to take heart, as is so painful to see an energetic young man die so sudden.

Muna go well and let the legacies you left stay for ever...
My brother, the world is a stage and you have played your part rest in peace dear brother, till we meet to path no more....adieu..

You always make sure those around you were happy. I have so many friends you've never met but they have benefited from your kindness. A man with a heart of gold. You were a friend to all. Very jovail and accommodating.

My own solo, it's so hard you have to leave so soon a man full of life. I am still in disbelief that you are no more.
On that fateful 31st of July when we got the news of your Demise I was shattered and heart broken but was still believing it was a prank.

I was hoping to receive a video call from you as usual saying my own Tobi, how you nor mami. One day pass, two days, weeks and months. I miss your smile and sweet words
Those early morning calls. Those call when you're stock in traffic and the short break you used to take for us to discuss. Every time I think of you my heart bleeds.

Takunchong as I always call you, you were my confidant. When ever I had a problem or anything that was bothering me you were the first person I called and you always have a way with words which solves the problem. I miss you so much.

What went wrong with you that you didn't even think of mami Ceci your hand bag. Your family, siblings and friends. Your death has cause a vacuum that cannot be filled.

The memories we have shared will never be forgotten. My Elegant, Handsome and Black ebony boy. You are my star and I will cherished you forever.

Frederick ItoeSoban Brother

An Amazing Brother- Gone Too Soon

It is with a deeply heavy heart that I pay tribute to my dear friend and brother, “Solo.”

For over 37 years, I have had the privilege of knowing Solo, beginning from our days as students at Sasse. Those were formative years, and sharing the same dormitory gave us countless opportunities to build a friendship that would endure through the years. Looking back, I realize that what began as a school friendship grew into something much deeper. A bond of brotherhood that time could never diminish.

Solo was one of those rare people whose presence could brighten any room. He was always smiling, always laughing, and always ready to make those around him feel welcome. He had a generous spirit and a heart for people, especially the younger students. While in school, he naturally looked out for us, offering guidance, encouragement, and care.

That was simply who Solo was. Someone who cared deeply about others.
And then there was football. Solo was an exceptional soccer player. He played with passion, skill, determination, and leadership. As the leader of our St. Martins dormitory team, he helped guide us to several soccer trophies. Those victories were more than just trophies; they became treasured memories that many of us will carry for the rest of our lives. On the field, Solo was a competitor and a leader. Off the field, he was our brother and our friend.

Beyond his accomplishments as a student and footballer, Solo was, above all, a good-hearted man. He was a loving father, an awesome husband, and a wonderful human being. His kindness, laughter, generosity, and genuine concern for others made him someone who was easy to love and impossible to forget.

His passing leaves an enormous void, not only in the lives of his family and close friends, but also within the Soban community and the wider Sasse family. There are people whose lives touch ours for a season, and there are those whose presence becomes part of our story. Solo was one of the latter.

My brother, we will miss your smile. We will miss your laughter. We will miss your friendship, your kindness, and the wonderful memories we shared. We will miss seeing you and remembering those unforgettable days in Sasse, the football matches, the victories, and the brotherhood that connected us.

Although you are no longer with us physically, the memories you gave us will never fade. I remember 2015 when I asked you to travel to Montreal and support my candidacy in SOBA America. You never hesitated and traveled there to support me.

Your life touched so many people, and your legacy will continue through your family, your friends, your Soban brothers, and all those whose lives you made better.

Rest peacefully, Solo.
You will be dearly missed, deeply loved, and forever remembered.

Uncle Muna, my person,
It’s been so unreal for me, I still don’t think it’s real. But here is an opportunity I have right here to tell you what I never got the chance to.
You were a blessing to come across, your laughter , your jokes, your million ways of making me smile and laugh but most especially your love and support, you were a father figure to me. The advices you gave , the guidance , the direction. How you’d call me on every birthday and remind me I’m getting old 😂. Uncle Muna I miss you, you became such an important person in my life and I’m sorry I never got to tell you, I’m sorry I never got to tell you a lot of things. I’ve called , I keep calling but you aren’t there to answer anymore. You always reminded me about how much time I had to do whatever I wanted but I guess time took you from us. Thank you uncle Muna, my person, you’ll always have a place in my heart ❤️

Joseph SangiFamily Friend to the Enow's

Tribute to my dear Solomon aka Solo

It is with deep sadness that I pay tribute to my dear friend, younger brother, Solomon Enow, fondly known as Solo, who passed away on 31 July 2026.
Solo was a lively, gentle, and peace-loving young man whose presence brought warmth and joy to those around him. One thing everyone will remember was his broad smile and bright white teeth that could light up any room and instantly lift your spirits. No matter the situation, good or bad, Solo would often respond with a smile that reassured and comforted others.
I had the privilege of living with Solo in Germany for over a year, and during that time I came to know him as a truly kind-hearted person. He kept to himself, minded his own business, avoided conflict, and treated everyone with respect. His gentle nature was remarkable. As we often say, he "wouldn't hurt a fly."
Solo was supportive, humble, and full of life. Though he is no longer with us, his kindness, peaceful spirit, and unforgettable smile will remain forever in our hearts.
Rest in peace, Solo. You will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

An Uncle I will always love

Uncle solo, it is difficult to believe that you are no more, though,it is a reality that this is the way destiny may have program that you will leave us. Uncle solo where should I start and where can I earn for the love, kindness and support. I remember you told me one day that pastor I did not take you as a Nephew,as other family members may, you are my younger brother so what ever I am doing for you and your wife I do as I am doing to my younger brother, Your love and kindness and encouragement in my ministry is not what I can explain, your vacuum in my family and ministry for this few days that you are gone to eternity is already like I have been missing you for years. You will always call me on Saturday and insist pastor make sure you dink abit of water as you are preaching to keep your throat wet, you always call every Sunday and ask how was the service, again and again,,Uncle solo where can I start and where should I end. Is it the assistance you provide in my family I will talk about or some of the children you empowered in the ministry. Is it school fees assistance and many more, Words can not explain all. The promises you made that when you come home we have a lot to say and do, has just evaporated on air.Uncle solo my heart is indeed heavy and bleading because me and my wife are still to believe that you are no more and it will be difficult to have another uncle solo. You are just you.But this is my promise for you, you will for ever remain in my heart.Rest in peace Mr peace maker (Uncle Solo) Me and my wife loved you dearly.

Mamaah AkweSister

I want my big brother back

PA'MUNA

Pa'Muna, I still don't know how to write about you in the past tense. It doesn't feel right.

You were so easy to love, and you loved us back completely. You had such a big mood, always. You could bring life into a room just by being yourself. I miss your wit, your kind eyes, and especially your laughter. That laugh that came from the bottom of your stomach until your shoulders shook and your eyes almost disappeared. I can still hear it.

I miss fighting with you. I miss never agreeing with you. I miss you getting on my nerves and me getting on yours. I miss the way you called me Mamaah, and of course, Mbangalass. I miss calling you Shoe Polish, Uncle Blacky, Papa Sister Ceci, and all the other nonsense between us that was just ours.

I miss your Sasse stories too. Most of which I was convinced were lies, but they were really good stories. I would sit there questioning half of what you were telling me while you carried on like every word was gospel truth. Now I would give anything to sit and listen to one more. I promise I wouldn't even argue with you about whether it really happened.

And I miss us in the kitchen. I miss cooking with you. Half the time you were just there causing trouble, disturbing me and making noise, but somehow having you there made everything easier. Cooking went faster. It was more fun. I didn't know those ordinary moments would become some of the things I would miss the most.

That's what hurts. All the little things I thought we would always have.

You played so many roles in my life, but more than anything, you were simply my Pa'Muna. My big brother. There was a comfort in just knowing you were there.

I have seen death before, but this one broke me.

You were just too alive to be dead, Pa'Muna.

That's the part my heart cannot understand. You had too much laughter in you. Too much personality. Too much life. And maybe that is why you will never really leave us. There is too much of you left behind in the people who loved you.

We can never replace you for your wife and children. Nobody can. But we will love them. We will stand with them and do the best we can for them. They are part of you, and you will always be part of us.

I wish you were here. I wish we could fight one more time. Cook one more meal together. I wish I could hear one more Sasse story that I don't believe and hear you laugh when I tell you you're lying.

I just want my big brother back.

I miss you, my Pa'Muna.

Mamaah.

Tribute to My Beloved Brother, Solomon

I have wondered what I am going to write about you, Solo, for what you have just done to us. How could I have imagined that such a thing could happen to you so abruptly?
You said you wanted me to come to America before I even went on retirement, and you did everything in your power to insist that your nephew, once you knew he was fit, should bring me here to the U.S.A. So, how was it for you to leave us in the air like this?
Papa, all of us have our little health issues, but you were always the first to let us know that it was nothing—that we should take our medications and that we would be fine. You were there for everyone. Even when there were little misunderstandings within the extended family, you would handle them as if they were nothing.
All the children who came here chose to live in your house, and none of your brothers objected because they wanted them to feel comfortable wherever they chose to be. Everything had been going on well, except for the leg injury you had, which was taken care of.
My back was hurting me, and you complained to me that your back was hurting you too and that you were seeing the doctor. Daboy, what happened that no one can explain? Why did you surprise us like this?
Bro, this is too hard to believe that you are no more. Since when did you think you were supposed to open the lead and leave this world before your elders? You decided to be the master, not so?
Weeh, my bro. I used to say that you loved your neighbour more than yourself. I see that now. The whole family, your friends, and the community are asking questions that are too difficult to answer. I beg of you, come back and answer the questions yourself.
Have you been thinking, since your silence, about Cecy, your handbag? What do you think the boys and Nisha will feel? What about your nieces and nephews? Chaii, bro, you do us something ooh.
Since you said we have to leave you alone, no problem. I pray that God keeps you in His right hand and watches over us with the angels in Heaven.
Tell Papa and Mama that we salute them for allowing you to come so soon to meet them.
Adieu, bro my risk bearer, my Papa, my ever-smiling boy.
We will miss your love, your warmth, and everything that you brought into our lives. Until we meet again, to part no more.

Rest well, my beloved brother.

My Jolie Papa

My Jolie papa, Cheri money, Cheri fine pikin, Da Boy, with all the beautiful and fun names we use to call you, I find it most difficult to believe i will not get to hear or call these names again, it’s funny to think how short life can be, uncle Solo you have impacted lives especially mine in different ways that I find it difficult to express, from where exactly do i begin, who am I going to confide in again, who is going to give me those listening ears again, with all the stressful and lonely days, no matter how difficult it was i just have to make one call and you were always there to listen, who is going to tell me everything will be ok, it’s just a matter of time. Our time spent was just to short, I wish I had the opportunity of bidding you a proper good bye, how am I going to handle your not being around anymore, why, why why why, with a million questions to ask yet no answers and no one to respond to all these questions. Despite all these questions, our only consolation is God who gave you to us loves you most and we know you are in a better place.your passing made me understand the full meaning of ‘words cant explain the pain I feel, you were and will forever be a blessing to us all. I will forever miss you my darling uncle keep resting in peace

A friendship I will always cherish

Solo! The news of your passing still feels like an unending nightmare. This was not in the plan Solo! So young, so vibrant and so full of life? God indeed had other plans. As painful as your passing has been, I am comforted by the 30+ years friendship we shared. Your laughter, your upbeat attitude, your kindness, that smile! Those are the things I hope to hold onto. Travel light my friend, may God take your hands and hold you tight in his bosom until we join you. May your family be comforted as they deal with this immense loss.
Adieu!

You’re Loved & Forever Remembered

I lost my dad at ten and that loss and pain has always lived with me. I’m a family friend and seeing how everyone is feeling and pulling through to make your memories live forever has shown me that you lived a great and kind life in your own way.

I am inspired by their tributes and words and efforts to keep your memories together and living. My earlier life loss of my dad has made related to death and as departure in Christ. We will definitely meet again at the other side and I cannot wait to know you and see your smiles.

I know you’re looking down proud of your efforts and your love left behind. I worked on this website to keep your memories alive and all the tributes has moved me to write this for you. They’re loving you here, brother Solomon.

Keep looking down to us all.
Tell my dad, I said hi 👋🏾 and keep us in prayers and mercies. I love you a stranger and will see you! Keep resting in peace and love ❤️

The Memories we will always Carry

Uncle Solo, words alone cannot express the sadness I feel since hearing and seeing you leave us. I was not ready, and I believe none of us were. Your departure came so suddenly, leaving us with so many questions, emotions and memories.
Even now, I still struggle to comprehend how it all happened. One moment you were here, talking, laughing, making plans and sharing your usual jokes, and suddenly, we are left having to say goodbye. I guess life happens in ways we do not always understand or have the strength to accept.
One thing I keep thinking about is our last conversations and the plans you had for me. You always wanted me to join you in the States after I graduated. You believed in me and were always encouraging me to come over. During our last conversation, you kept convincing my wife and me to move to the States. You spoke with such enthusiasm about the idea, and we laughed and talked about the future together.
I never knew those conversations would become memories I would treasure so deeply.
Uncle Solo, when I think about you, I do not only think about the sadness of losing you. I think about the love, laughter, family and beautiful memories you gave us.
One of the memories closest to my heart is my last visit to see you in America in April 2025. I had brought my daughter, Nandi, with me while we were attending my sister Annie's graduation. You were so happy to see her. I remember the joy on your face when you saw her and how excited you were to spend time with her. Those moments may have seemed ordinary at the time, but today they are priceless memories.
And, of course, I cannot remember you without remembering your love for food and your confidence in your cooking!
You would always tell me that you were better than me at cooking eru, ndole and roasting beef. You said it with such confidence, and I would challenge you, and we would both laugh about it. Those little arguments about who was the better cook became one of our own special jokes.
Uncle Solo, I will miss those conversations. I will miss your laughter. I will miss your confidence when you told me you could cook better than me. I will miss the way you made ordinary moments feel special.
I wish I had known that our last visit would be our last. I would have taken more pictures. I would have stayed a little longer. I would have listened more carefully to every story and every joke. I would have hugged you a little tighter and told you more clearly how much you meant to me.
But perhaps this is one of the lessons your passing has left with us. We often think we have more time. More visits. More conversations. More opportunities to sit together around a table, share a meal, laugh about old stories and make new memories.
Uncle Solo, you were a beautiful soul. You had a heart that was open to people, and your love reached everyone who crossed your path. You were generous with your time, your words, your laughter and your kindness. You made people feel welcome, valued and loved.
Your presence brought warmth to the lives of many people, and your absence has left a space that words cannot fill.
I will always be grateful for the part you played in my life, for the encouragement you gave me, for the love you showed my family and for the memories we created together. I will carry those memories with me, especially the laughter, the conversations about America, the joy you had seeing Nandi, and of course, our endless debate over who made the best eru, ndole and roasted beef.
Those memories are now part of your legacy in my life.
As I think about you now, I choose to remember your smile, your laughter, your generosity and the happiness you brought into our lives. I choose to remember you sitting with us, talking about life, family and the future. I choose to remember the joy on your face when you saw Nandi.
Although you have left us physically, the love you gave us has not disappeared. Your memory will live through your family, through the stories we tell, through the laughter we share when we remember you, and through the lives you touched.
I will also carry your words about coming to America with me. You were making plans for the future, and although you are no longer here to see those plans unfold, your encouragement will remain with me.
Uncle Solo, you left this world before we were ready to let you go. But I hope you knew how deeply you were loved and how much you meant to all of us.
I pray that wherever you are now, you are at peace, free from pain and suffering, and resting in God's loving care.
May God welcome you into His eternal kingdom, grant you eternal rest, and give strength and comfort to everyone who loved you.
I wish I could have one more conversation with you.
One more laugh.
One more plate of eru, ndole and roasted beef.
One more argument about who is the better cook.
But until we meet again, Uncle Solo, I will carry your memory in my heart.
You will never be forgotten.
May your beautiful soul rest in perfect peace.
Amen.

“A beautiful soul, forever remembered”

Dear Uncle Solo,

I honestly do not know where to begin, because saying goodbye to you is something I never imagined I would have to do so soon.

When I first became part of this family, I was not simply welcomed as Seppou’ wife. You welcomed me as your niece. From the beginning, you made me feel comfortable, loved and accepted. You had a way of making family feel like family, and I will always be grateful for that.

Uncle Solo, one of the things I will always remember about you was how much you loved your family. You cared deeply about Seppou, and I saw how proud you were of him. You always wanted the best for him, and you wanted to see him succeed. You often spoke about the future and about having us come to America. You wanted us closer to you. At the time, those conversations felt like plans for another day. Now, those words carry a completely different meaning.

I remember our last conversations, and I keep going back to them in my mind. You were still encouraging us, still talking about America, still trying to convince Seppou and me to come and join you. None of us knew those would become some of our final conversations with you.

That is one of the hardest things about losing you. There was no opportunity to prepare, no chance to say, “Uncle Solo, thank you for everything.” No chance to tell you how much your kindness meant to me.

So I want to say it now.

Thank you, Uncle Solo.

Thank you for welcoming me into your family. Thank you for the love you showed me. Thank you for the conversations, the laughter, the advice and the memories. Thank you for caring about our future and for always wanting to see us happy and together.

I will miss your voice. I will miss your warmth. I will miss the way you spoke about family and the plans you had for the people you loved. I will miss knowing that I could look forward to seeing you again.

I still find myself thinking, “This cannot be happening.” We had so much more life to share. There were more conversations to have, more visits to make and more memories we thought we would create together.

Your sudden departure has left a space in our family that nobody else will fill.

But Uncle Solo, I do not want my final thoughts of you to be only about the pain of losing you. I want to remember the love. I want to remember your smile, your generosity, your conversations and the way you made people feel welcome. I want to remember a man who loved his family deeply and wanted to see those he loved doing well.

You may no longer be here with us physically, but the love you gave to your family will continue through the memories we carry.

I will always be grateful that I had the privilege of knowing you, loving you and calling you my uncle.

Rest peacefully, Uncle Solo.

May God receive you into His loving arms, forgive your sins and grant you eternal rest.

Until we meet again, Uncle.

You will forever remain in my heart.

With love,

Your niece,
Makhosi - Seppou’ wife

It is a tough situation to accept that you are gone. But one thing remains for sure, the host of Angels are rejoicing over this beautiful soul in Heaven and that is what keeps me strong knowing that you are in the Bossom of the Lord. Solo keep smiling in the Bossom of the Lord. Rest in Peace.

I MISS YOU SO MUCH

Uncle, I just want to simply say that I miss you. I MISS YOU SOOOOO VERY MUCH! There’s not a single day that passes that I don’t think about your lovely self and your sweet smile.

You’ve brought so much joy into my life from the very first time I met you. You were my right-hand man since day one. Your love for me was never a question. I’ve always felt extremely loved by you.

Uncle, your home felt more like home than our own home. Thank you so much for giving me the type of love that is usually uncommon in in-laws. At some point, I thought I was special—that you just loved me soooo much, which you did,. But the truth is, everyone you’ve come in contact with, you’ve made an unforgettable impact on their lives.

Uncle, you were an angel on Earth, and now you’re our angel in Heaven. May God forever give us peace whenever we think of your name, because there’s not a day that goes by when we don’t think of you. I wish I could laugh really hard with you just one more time. 💔

UNCLE, MAY YOUR BEAUTIFUL SOUL REST IN PEACE. YOUR NAME WILL FOREVER LIVE HAPPILY IN OUR HEARTS AND IN OUR HOME.

I love you, Uncle . 🤍

A Tribute to my sweet uncle

Tribute to My Sweet Uncle, My Second Dad My sweet uncle, our second father, our handsome Daboy,
Having to write this with such a heavy heart is something I never thought I would have to do. I still find it so hard to believe that you are no longer here with us. I keep wishing this is just a bad dream that I will wake up from. I will miss your smile, your laughter, your jokes, your advice, and most of all, the way you always filled the room with joy whenever you walked in.
You were not just my uncle. You were my second dad. You loved me, guided me, corrected me, encouraged me, and always wanted to see me do well in life. You believed in me even at times when I doubted myself. The advice you gave me became part of the decisions I make every day, and I don't think you ever truly realized how much of an impact you had on my life.
Uncle, you showed me so much about life in America.
You helped me, supported me, and contributed so much to the person I am today. I will forever be grateful for every conversation, laughter, and u been always with me even in my times on crisis. I pray that heaven received you with open arms. May the angels smile because they gained such a beautiful soul. There are people who come into our lives and leave memories behind, but you left something much deeper than memories. You left a part of yourself in all of us.

I wish I could turn back the hands of time. I wish I could sit with you one more time. I wish I could hear your voice calling me "baby Joy" again. I wish I could tell you one more time how much I love and appreciate you. There are so many things I wish I had said, and now I have to carry those words in my heart. Please keep looking over us from heaven, Uncle.
Continue to guide us, protect us, and direct us in every decision we make. Thank you for believing in your baby Joy. I love you so much uncle and miss you. I hope somehow you can still see us. I hope you can see me continuing the dreams we talked about. I promise I will keep pushing, keep making you proud, and keep your memory alive.
Rest peacefully, my sweet Uncle Daboy.
Until we meet again, keep watching over us.
Your baby, Joy

With a broken heart, I have to let you go. With a heart that truly wasn't ready, I have to accept that you have left.
I could never imagine that was my last chat with you for up to this moment, I can't still come to terms with what has happened. I still want to hear your voice and the laughter. This is making me to know that loving someone means having to let the person go. My heart is broken, a part of me is gone never to return. Brother I am sorry that I am still crying yet I don't know when the crying will stop for I miss you so deeply.
Rest peacefully brother my love for you will always remain even though you are no longer with me.

A Joyful Spirit, Forever Remembered

Uncle Solo, my Cherie Coco,

You have truly left me speechless. Your sudden passing has left a hole in my heart that can never be filled. It is difficult to find the words to express just how much your presence meant to me and how deeply you will be missed.

Thank you for your kind words, your love, and the warmth you always showed me. I will forever cherish the beautiful memories we shared, especially my very first pen house experience and the wonderful professionals you introduced me to along the way.

And that smile, that could brighten any moment. It is one of the precious things I have left to remind me of you. I will always remember the joy and kindness you brought into my life.

Uncle Solo, Thank you for being part of my journey, for believing in me, and for leaving behind memories that I will treasure for the rest of my life.

Rest peacefully, my dear Uncle Solo. Until we meet again.

Solo, my little brother

I’ve spent the last month consumed by questions with no answers. How could this happen? What went wrong? What did we miss? Every time I try to make sense of it, all I can see is your smiling, cheerful face, and all I can do is sigh.
Your light will forever guide us, even in the darkest times. Though you are gone from our sight, you will never leave our hearts. May your soul find absolute peace, and may your memory bring us comfort when we need it most. You were a true gift to this world, and your legacy will live on through everyone who loved you.
Please tell Mama Anna I miss her endlessly. She was like a mother to me, and I was so proud to be her adopted daughter. She will forever hold a sacred place in my heart.
Goodbye for now, my little brother. Until we meet again. ❤️

An epitome of kindness and compassion.

Tribute to Uncle Solo

Uncle Solo — an epitome of kindness and compassion.

He is undoubtedly among the most devoted humans I have ever experienced, and is an even better example to all of us of how to be human.

So bright and faithful. One of those uncles you didn't have to be someone else to be seen. His smile would draw you close without question.

After over 30+ years I thought I had forgotten he existed, until 2020 brought back all the memories I had of him as a child. He showed me with a photo he took of me, Tonge and Mami. He was meant to show up and remind me that the smile he shared still lived within me. Memories to last a lifetime.

I will never forget how you checked on me when I was pregnant with Liam. You were surprised that you had not seen my posts and I jokingly said I was working on a project and will tell you all about it when it was done. That was you — always paying attention, always checking in, always caring enough to notice when someone went quiet.

Your calls, messages and your gentle compliments — they were small moments that showed a big heart. You saw people. You celebrated people.

His physical presence will be dearly missed.

A hand that held everyone together.
A love that felt like home.

Saying goodbye is not easy.
But I can say this with full conviction:
Your love knew no bounds.

We felt it. We lived in it.
And we will carry it forever.

Rest well, Uncle Solo. Thank you for loving us so well.

My sweet uncle

My sweet uncle, nearly every year since I moved, you told me the story of how my mum came to visit with this adorable baby girl, one thing lead to another and you were left with the baby and some laundry. Just a few innovative thoughts later, you had me laying in the laundry basket as you folded away. One stone, two birds and a very happy baby. Many, many moons later, you convinced my dad to let his baby girl be yours again and I moved to California, Andora Drive to be specific. Right back to my darling uncle.
So much has happened in these 4 years and whilst I’ll forever be your baby girl, you ushered me into adulthood. I will never forget coming up to you all excited about how I got the job. You looked at me and asked if I was joking?! Of course I got the job because I’m your niece, an Enow! You never let me forget it, all the things I’m capable of.
I remember just a few months ago, sharing a plate with you, how we laughed and joked and like you always did, you ensured I had some to take home, I remember that little piece of meat you packed for Seb too. I’ll miss all the plates we shared uncle, all the meals you so lovingly prepared. I went home uncle, and I got some garri, the one your sister brought just for you, from Cameroon, I heard your voice in my head the entire way, that is one thing I’ll miss so so much. Your banter uncle, all your smiles and laughter. Your warmth, how at home you made everyone feel. My intentional uncle, you always showed up, even when you couldn’t you made sure I felt your love, you sent a text, or my cousins and aunty. Even in your quiet moments, you were working through a plan, I’d mention things and forget and weeks later you’d say hey baby girl, this is what I was thinking about that piece you brought up to me... I’ve had so many questions I wanted to ask you these past few weeks uncle, I know there are many more to come but it’ll be ok.
In a family full of stars, you shone so so bright. You had the faith, the foresight, the courage, the  humility, the humour and good hope,
To model for us your family and friends what it means to live like Christ. And die well with Christ.
You were a giver and a gift.
You lit the match for a new generation.
Well done my sweet uncle.

A Tribute to Solomon

Dear Uncle, Brother, and Friend,
Your sudden passing has left us completely heartbroken, lost, and in deep shock. We keep hoping this is all just a terrible dream, a cruel joke, or that you are simply away on a long vacation anything except the reality of losing you so soon.
We will forever cherish your infectious smile, your warmth, and every moment we shared. From birthday celebrations and lively family gatherings to the quiet, simple days in between, those memories are precious gifts that time can never erase.
It breaks our hearts to know we will never hear your voice, share a laugh, enjoy a meal, dance together, or see your smile again. Your absence leaves a profound void in our family that can never be filled.
Heaven has gained an angel, and there is no doubt you are already making everyone up there feel just as special and valued as you made us feel here.
We miss you more than words can express. Though you are no longer by our side, you will forever remain in our hearts, watching over us until we meet again.
Rest in peace Bro
With Love

Maggie EnowMy Brother in-Law

Maggie’s Eulogy for Solomon “Solo” Enow

My Other Husband, My Brother in-Law, and My Friend

A Eulogy for Solomon “Solo” Enow

Akwi? Ubi- Mansa
Solo, where do I even begin?

You were never just my brother-in-law. You were my brother, my friend, my colleague, my confidant—and, as I affectionately called you, “my other husband.” You were the person who welcomed me into your life without boundaries, loved me without conditions, listened without judging, and gave so much of yourself without ever asking for anything in return.

I knew you and loved you even before I officially became your sister-in-law. Somehow, our connection had already been formed. Although I was your brother’s wife, you understood me in a way that was so genuine. You listened when I complained, laughed with me when I was being dramatic, encouraged me when I was discouraged, and shared in my dreams as though they were your own.

There was never a time I called you for help and you did not respond. I mean—not even once. No matter how inconvenient it was, you always found a way to come through for me. You went out of your way just to make sure I was happy and everything was taken care of. That was who you were: dependable, thoughtful, generous, and completely selfless.

Solo, we shared so much. We talked about our families, our children, our careers, and our future. We dreamed about opening our own private practice, getting plenty of clients, building something meaningful, and, of course, making good money together. We discussed the restaurant business you wanted to establish in Cameroon. I was supposed to help you find the right person to manage it. We talked about creating a school for children with special needs and all the ways we could use our professional experience to help others.

What happened to all our plans?

I could write an entire diary about us—the long conversations, the laughter, the family gatherings, the parties, the trips we planned, and the dreams we shared. What about our vacation to Cameroon this December? What about the trip to Mexico through the San Diego border? What about our practice? What about the restaurant? What about the school?

Solo, what about us?

When you decided to further your education and earn your master’s degree in clinical social work, I saw a different light in you. You were so excited, focused, humble, and determined. You worked extremely hard, yet you remained gracious throughout the journey. I remember our long conversations about our profession, our responsibilities, our goals, and the lives we hoped to change. I was so proud of you. I looked forward to the day when we would finally bring all those plans to life together.

You never failed to express your appreciation, even for the smallest things.

“Thank you, Madam.”

“Thank you, my chérie.”

“Thank you, my chap.”

“Thank you, my brother eh woman.”

“Thank you, my wife.”

Sometimes the “thank you” was not even necessary, but you said it anyway. That was the beauty of your heart. You never considered kindness too small to appreciate. Your gratitude was sincere, and it made everyone around you feel valued.

Whenever you came to my workplace, you made your presence known. You proudly introduced me as your wife—and you said it with such seriousness that everyone believed you! That was our special joke, but it was also rooted in something meaningful. Traditionally, you were the one who traveled to Cameroon and stood in for your brother during our traditional marriage introduction. In that moment, you represented him as my husband. I will carry that memory in my heart forever.

Your brother—my husband and your best friend—always told me, “Never joke with Solo. He is the pearl of my life. He is the reason I am where I am and who I am today.” I took those words seriously. I am grateful that during our conversations, I always acknowledged and thanked you for everything you did for him. The bond between the two of you was extraordinary. You were more than brothers; you were best friends, partners, and pillars in each other’s lives.

Now I look at your brother, and my heart breaks all over again.

He would wake up, pick up his phone, and say, “Wait, let me call Solo. He will take care of it.”

Who will he call now?

And what about me? When I need to complain about your brother, where will I go? Who will listen to me, laugh with me, understand me, and still defend both of us with love?

You were also the most loving uncle to my three girls. I never lost sleep when they stayed at your home because I knew they were safe and deeply loved. You cared for them as though they were your own children, and, of course, you allowed them to have their way. They knew that Uncle Solo was their safe place. The love you gave them will remain with them for the rest of their lives.

I will miss our three-way telephone conversations—you, your brother, and me—talking for hours about everything and nothing. And your babe would be in the background, quietly telling you what to say, while we all laughed. I will miss calling you to support my organizations and asking you to find other people to support them too. No matter how much I asked, you never made me feel like I was asking for too much.

You did so much for me.

During my wedding, you never questioned or judged how we wanted to celebrate. You were there from the beginning of the preparations until the very end. You constantly asked, “What else needs to be done?” You went above and beyond to ensure that everything went smoothly. You did not simply attend our wedding—you carried it with us.

Solo, how are we supposed to celebrate anything without you? How will we attend family gatherings and not search for your smile? Who will walk me to my car after our long conversations outside your home? Who will say “thank you” repeatedly for the smallest gesture? Who will bring that gentle laughter, warmth, and peaceful presence that made every gathering feel complete?

The truth is that losing you has created a space no one else can fill. Your absence is not something we can simply accept and move on from. It is an adjustment we will have to learn to live with, one painful day at a time.

Still, through my tears, I hold on to my faith. I believe that Almighty God called you home—not because we were ready to let you go, but because He wanted to preserve your beautiful soul from this troubled and unpredictable world. You were too gentle, too loving, too kind, and too selfless. Perhaps heaven needed the light that you carried so naturally here on earth.

The love you gave us will now become the strength we use to care for one another. I will do my best to help fill the painful gap you left behind. I will love your brother, your family, and all the children even more deeply because that is what you would want. I will hold on to your laughter, your kindness, your gratitude, and every precious memory we created.

But how do I end this by saying, “Rest in peace”?

Oh no, Solo. I cannot say goodbye—not yet.

So, for now, I will simply say:

Thank you, my brother.

Thank you, my colleague.

Thank you, my confidant.

Thank you, my children’s beloved uncle.

Thank you, my husband’s brother and best friend.

Thank you, my other husband, for loving me, trusting me, supporting me, and allowing me to be part of your beautiful life.

Our plans may have been interrupted, but our love was not. Death may have taken you from our sight, but it can never take you from our hearts.

I will continue this conversation with you someday, because right now, I simply cannot bring myself to conclude it.

Until we meet again, Solo, remain our pearl, our gentle light, and our selfless soul.

I love you deeply, and I will carry you with me always.

Carried Home in Faith and Love

My dear uncle you were such a loving and kind person, you care for everyone around you and made sure everyone was ok. You had a wonderful personality and tried your best to satisfy everybody, I'm very lucky to have you as an uncle not just an uncle but you were like my second father, you took care of me and always advise when ever I'm in doubt. You came to my aid before I could even asked, when I send a message you will rather call to hear my voice than reply to the message. How can I forget all your kindness to me, when will I ever stop crying, I will miss you but thought of knowing that God has you give me a calmness in my heart. Rest in peace uncle till we meet again

Carried Home in Faith and Love

In Loving Memory of uncle Solomon Muna - The Finest Man Alive

There are simply not enough words to describe the human being that you were. Some people pass through this life knowing others only on the surface, but you took your time to truly know people. For you, it was never casual. It was personal. When you loved someone, you loved them completely. When you cared, you gave your all. You had a way of making people feel seen, heard, valued, and loved.

And that was who you were.
A good man. A very, very good man.
I always called you the finest man alive, and I meant it.

You were my uncle, but you were so much more. You were like a father, my gisting partner, my congossa partner, my shoulder to lean on, my source of advice and guidance, my family, and my friend. The list could go on forever and still never be enough.

When I came to America, I never felt like a stranger because you made sure I never felt like one. You made me feel at home. I had the privilege of living with you, and those memories will stay with me forever. We cooked together, watched movies, laughed together, attended family functions, talked about life, and shared so many ordinary moments that have now become some of my most precious memories.

I didn’t know then that one day, I would give anything just to have one more of those ordinary days with you.

I keep asking myself, how can you die? How is this real? How does the life of the party suddenly disappear? Where are you taking all your smiles, your laughter, your love, and your advice? Who is going to advise us now? Because you were the man of the people.

You were the person people called when they needed help. You were the person who showed up. You could be struggling yourself, and most people would never know because you never wanted anyone else to suffer.

You were selfless. Loving. Caring. Kind. Generous.
I watched you put your children before yourself. I watched you give your all to your friends, your family, and anyone who needed you. That was your heart.
One thing you taught me that I will never forget was to always be there for my little cousins, no matter what. I understand those words differently now. You were teaching me to love people the way you did to show up, to take care of family, and to carry a part of you with me.

There is so much I wish I could tell you now. I wish I could sit with you one more time. I wish I could hear you laugh. I wish I could hear you say, “I go jamb you eh,” one more time.

Most of all, I wish I could tell you that you were loved. You were seen. You mattered. You were an amazing human being. No human being is perfect, but to me, Uncle, you were a perfect human being.

Your death has left a space in me that I don’t know how to explain. It feels like something is missing. Life doesn’t feel the same anymore. There are moments when I still expect you to be here, and then reality comes crashing back.

This pain is so deep because a good man is gone. A really good man is gone.

But even through this pain, I am grateful. Grateful that I knew you. Grateful that I got to live with you. Grateful for the conversations, the laughter, the cooking, the movies, the family functions, the advice, the love, and every little memory I now hold so tightly.

Thank you for loving me. Thank you for making me feel at home. Thank you for always showing up. Thank you for your kindness, your smile, your guidance, and for being the man everyone could count on.
Thank you for being a good man.

Your life was not measured by how much you had, but by how much of yourself you gave to others. You gave love, laughter, hope, and yourself.

And now, even though you are no longer here, you are still living in all of us in your children, your family, your friends, every person you helped, every life you touched, and in me.

I don’t know how long it will take for this pain to become easier to carry. Maybe it never completely will. But I know that one day, when I think of you, I hope the tears will be accompanied by a smile because I will remember not just how you died, but how beautifully you lived.

To know you was to love you. To have known you was a blessing I will never take for granted.

I miss your advice. I miss your guidance. I miss your laughter. I miss your smile. I miss my uncle. I miss my friend.

I miss the finest man alive.

Rest well, Uncle Daboy.

Thank you for being you. Thank you for being a good man.

We will see again, my handsome uncle.
Until then, I will carry you with me.
I miss you forever.
