Childhood & Hometown
A Joyful Beginning in Kumba
Solomon was born in Kumba, Cameroon, to the late Pa Stephen Tambe Enow of Bakumba Betieku in Mamfe, Manyu Division, and the late Mami Anna Njie Sona Enow of Malende, Kumba. As the seventh of nine children, Solomon grew up in a large, tight-knit, loving family. His family was his foundation, and the bonds formed in childhood remained woven into the fabric of his life.
From childhood, Solomon possessed a spirit that was impossible to overlook. He had a smile that welcomed you before words were spoken, a laugh that could lift the heaviness from a room, and a heart that always had room for one more person. Muna was so playful and fun that his mother called him “jolly papa” because he was always smiling.

Education
Learning Shaped By Promise
He attended Government Primary School Lobe Estate before continuing his education at St. Joseph’s College Sasse, where his extraordinary soccer talent blossomed. He later attended Government High School Muyuka, where he obtained his G.C.E. Advanced Levels.
His pursuit of excellence took him across continents. From Kumba, he travelled to Germany and later ventured to California, USA. Wherever life carried him, he pursued greatness while staying grounded in the values that shaped him.
In the United States, Solomon began at West Valley Community College and later transferred to San Francisco State University on a soccer scholarship, where he earned his B.Sc. in Health Sciences. Driven by his love for learning and desire to serve effectively, he later earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work.

Marriage & Children
A Devoted Husband and Father
Among all the titles Solomon carried, perhaps none meant more to him than being a father, husband, brother, uncle, and friend. He met and married his wonderful wife while they were both in their twenties. Together, they were blessed with four beautiful children—two daughters and two sons, ranging in age from 13 to 26 years old.
Solo was a devoted husband and deeply involved father. He remained present in every part of his children’s lives—their upbringing, education, extracurricular activities, accomplishments, and everyday family moments. He took great pride in watching them grow, teaching them football, celebrating their accomplishments, and advising them as they pursued their dreams.

Career & Service
Compassion Put Into Practice
Solomon worked at Kaiser San Jose Hospital for 15 years in various capacities before transitioning to Santa Clara County Behavioral Health Services. During his years with the county, he served as a Rehabilitation Counselor, County Liaison Officer, and eventually Quality Improvement Coordinator.
His professional journey reflected his heart. For many patients, clients, colleagues, and community members, Solomon was more than a professional: he was someone who listened, cared, and treated others with dignity and humanity. He was admired for his unwavering integrity, strong work ethic, compassion, and willingness to mentor others.

Faith & Community
A Life Grounded in Faith
Solomon was born and raised in the Catholic faith. He received the sacraments of Baptism, Holy Communion, and Confirmation. His faith remained important throughout his life, and he ensured that all four of his children were baptized and raised in the Catholic faith.
His service to the community was also reflected in his professional life. Through behavioral health and clinical social work, he supported individuals and families during some of their most difficult moments.

Soccer & Joy
Talent, Movement, and Laughter
Football was more than a game to Solomon; it was a language through which he expressed determination, friendship, and joy. Gifted as both a goalkeeper and an attacker, he played briefly with Ekondo-Titi United and earned selection to Cameroon’s Junior National Team.
Through a football scholarship, Solomon entered San Francisco State University, where he became a legendary player and received a unanimous nomination for All-American honours. Yet those who knew him best understood that his greatest victories were found in the lives of the people he loved.
Beyond football, Solo loved dancing, travelling, watching movies, trying different foods, and bringing people together. His smile could brighten a room, his laughter brought warmth wherever he went, and his presence made ordinary moments feel special.

A Legacy of Love
To Know Solo Was to Love Him
People often say some lives leave behind something greater than memories. They leave footprints—gentle impressions upon the hearts of others that neither time nor grief can wear away. Solomon was such a life. His passing on July 31, 2026, left a profound silence where his laughter once filled the room and countless hearts forever shaped by the privilege of knowing him.
Solo was a truly selfless soul: a loving husband, devoted father, caring brother, cherished uncle and cousin, dependable colleague, and loyal friend. He made people feel welcomed, accepted, and valued. In many ways, he belonged to everyone, because he welcomed everyone and loved people unconditionally.
If Solo could leave one final message, it would be to live kindly, love unconditionally, and help whenever we can. Making a difference in someone’s life begins with a smile and a little laughter. To know Solo was to love him. His beautiful smile, generous heart, and selfless spirit will remain with us forever.
“I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.”
